Leroy, NY – A 3-year-old Genesee County girl found unresponsive in a relative's pool Saturday died over the weekend, Genesee County sheriff's officials reported Tuesday.
The little girl was identified as Andrea L. Mangefrida, a LeRoy resident who died one day after being found unresponsive in the relative's pool in the Town of Alexander shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday.
The daughter of Philip and Christina Mangefrida, died at about 12:45 p.m. Sunday in Women and Children's Hospital.
At the time she was found in the pool, relatives performed CPR. Darien volunteer firefighters took her to United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia and she was later flown by Mercy Flight to Women and Children's.
An investigation by the Sheriff's office continues.
