Buffalo, NY – Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown is recommending an East Amherst woman become the City's next Human Resources Commissioner.
42-year-old Patricia Folts was selected for the position by a four member search committee. Her name was forwarded to the Mayor, but her candidacy must be approved by the Common Council before she can assume the role.
34 candidates were in the initial pool for the job, with roughly half of them living in the City. That group was narrowed to nine for screening, five of whom were interviewed before the search committee decided upon Folts. She has more than 20 years of experience and is a former vice-president at LP Ciminelli. And according to her LinkedIn account, she also served as Chief Administration Officer at UCN and former HR Director at The Baptist Health System.
If her nomination is approved, she would succeed Karla Thomas, who was fired from the job for paying health insurance premiums to deceased city workers.
