Buffalo, NY – In the early hours this morning, the unions representing employees connected with Verizon, the Communications Workers of America and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, made their strike threat a reality.
Contract negotiations between the unions and the company have stalled.
The unions are claiming that the company is unfairly requesting concessions while its profits are up. The company counters that new business realities are determining its stance.
