Buffalo, NY – The Buffalo School District has announced teacher layoffs.

In a media advisory issued late Friday afternoon, the School District said that teacher layoff letters were mailed out that day. A total of 104 layoffs have been announced. The District says there will be an additional 150 layoff letters sent to teacher aides and assistants.

The job cuts are due to the ending of Federal Stimulus funds.
