Buffalo, NY – The City of Buffalo and City of Niagara Falls clerk's offices will be open Sunday to accommodate same sex couples seeking marriage licenses.
The clerk's office at City Hall in Buffalo will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.
Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown supports the additional hours at the clerk's office as the new law takes effect Sunday.
"The city clerk requested the opportunity to open City Hall on Sunday, a day that we are normally closed, and as I has indicated previously, weeks and weeks ago, if we received the request from the clerk, we would honor it, said Mayor Brown
In the city of Niagara Falls, the clerk's office will open at 6:00 a.m. Sunday.
