Buffalo, NY – The Grammy award-winning band the Carolina Chocolate Drops is stopping by Asbury Hall Wednesday night, bringing their own special brand of old time music.
The three-piece string band focuses on the songs of Black string bands, but combines both American and European folk traditions to create a new twist on traditional music.
The band has become a bit of a cross-over sensation. WBFO's Joyce Kryszak managed to catch up with the band by cell phone as they traveled between gigs. Founding member Dom Fleming talked about what goes into their success.
