Grand Jury indicts former YMCA youth counselor

Buffalo, NY – An indictment charging two counts of sexual misconduct against a former YMCA youth counselor was returned Thursday by an Erie County Grand Jury.

18-year old Martel Jones of 384 Swan Street in Buffalo is accused of impregnating an eleven year-old summer camper last July when she was under Jones' supervision as a counselor at the YMCA.

If convicted of the crimes, Jones will face a maximum prison sentence of two years. Arraignement is scheduled for July 14 at 9:30 A.M. in Part 2 of Buffalo City Court.
