Buffalo, NY – An overnight fire on the City's east-side claimed the life of a Buffalo man.
Officials say 47-year-old Kelvin Richardson died in a blaze at 144 Northland Avenue. That fire started shortly after midnight and the house was fully involved when crews arrived.
Firefighters forced their way into the home to find Richardson. He was taken out, but died a short time later. Richardson was the only person home at the time of the fire.
Buffalo fire investigators remain at the scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but officials are looking at the possibility it might be electrical in nature.
Damage is estimated at $25,000.
