Buffalo, NY – Nearly 8,000 participants were in attendance Saturday for the annual Susan G. Komen Western New York Race for the Cure.
The 5K run/walk began at the Delaware Park Rose Garden and raised better than $600,000, much of which will remain in Western New York to assist with breast cancer health education and to promote breast cancer screenings.
Nearly five hundred breast cancer survivors took part in the event as well.
