Buffalo, NY – The Williamsville School District pays its teachers more money than any other school system in the area.
That's according to Business First, which at the end of the week, will release its annual guide to Western New York Schools.
Some of the findings will be made public in the time leading up to the publication date. The average pay for a Williamsville teacher is nearly $68,000 a year. After Williamsville, is North Tonawanda, followed by Lackawanna, Sweet Home and Niagara Falls.
Business First also found the greatest disparity between a superintendent's pay and that of the average teacher is in Buffalo, where Superintendent James Williams' is paid $220,000 year compared to the average teacher, who makes roughly $50,000.
In terms of administrative efficiency, Frontier is on top, with the best scores going to districts with low spending, high student-to-staffer ratios and small amounts of debt service.
