Buffalo, NY – Kathy Hochul's rise from the ranks of County Government to the U.S. House of Representatives was not just a result of recognizing and developing a key issue. Her opponent's inexperience facing a seasoned politician also contributed to a Hochul victory.
That's according to Jim Fink of Business First in today's edition of Press Pass -- our ongoing series of conversations with newspaper editors and reporters. In fact, today's discussion begins with the print media.
Fink reported recently that The Buffalo News has seen a decline in ad revenues and sales that could result in some layoffs at the paper. He was asked if this was a reflection of trends seen in recently in the print media.
Fink covers real estate, development and transportation issues for Business First.
