Flood concerns for Chautauqua & record rains

By Eileen Buckley

Buffalo, NY – Rainy weather just won't let up its hold on the Western New York region.

The National Weather Service has posted a flood warning for urban areas and small streets in Easter Chautauqua County until 8'o'clock Friday night.

Rain will diminish for awhile early Friday night before additional scattered showers and possible thunderstorms push across the county.

Law enforcement report that State Road 60 between Gerry and Cassadaga remain closed due to flooding.

The rain has been relentless this spring. The National Weather Service office in Buffalo says May is stacking up as the wettest on May on record with 7.5 inches of rain in the Buffalo-Niagara region.
