Albany, NY – A UB 2020 summit is being planned for the first week of May in Albany. Governor Andrew Cuomo is keeping to his promise to host the summit. He contacted State Senator Mark Grisanti of Buffalo Wednesday.
WBFO'S Eileen Buckley talked to Grisanti about who he expects to attend and what are the major sticking points of the plan.
The UB 2020 bill was already approved overwhelming by the State Senate, but it now needs support from the Assembly. It would give UB more flexibility in setting tuition rates, and more freedom in establishing business partnerships in the community.
