Buffalo, NY – John Simpson will be stepping down soon after serving more than seven years as President of the University at Buffalo.

WBFO's Bert Gambini had a chance to speak with Simpson in studio. His enthusiasm for the region is clear and his vision for the University laid out in the long-range strategic plan, UB-2020.

Simpson has been UB's President since January of 2004. He has agreed to continue serving in that capacity beyond his announced retirement date as a search for a successor continues.
