Buffalo, NY – It is day two of testimony in the murder trial Muzzammill Hassan at Erie County Court. Among those testifying today are the children of Hassan.
19-year-old Michael Hassan testified about his father's behavior and domestic violence. He described both verbal and physical abuse to his stepmother. He also testified he was nervous as he waited for his stepmother as she went into television station. He said he feared for Aasiya.
Under cross examination, Michael Hasssan told the court his father talked about verbal abuse he suffered from his wife.
Outside the courtroom defense attorney Jeremy Schwartz was asked to comment on the relationship between Hassan and his wife.
"I'm not going to comment on the evidence. Michael Hassan did testified today about various things that have supposedly happened in the last few years between his father, and in the household between Mo and Aasyia," said Schwartz.
Schwartz also described the relationship Hassan had with his children.
"Mo has always expressed a deep love for his children," said Schwartz.
Hassan hide inside the Orchard Park television station waiting for his wife Aasyia just before murdering her with a hunting knife.
Wednesday afternoon Hassan's daughter Sonia was also called to testify. Hassan asked the judge if could be allowed to cross-examine his daughter, but the judge denied that request.
The trial resumed Thursday morning.
