Lake effect snow forecast for region

By Mark Scott

Buffalo, NY – The National Weather Service has posted a lake effect snow advisory from 4:00 Sunday afternoon through 10:00 Monday morning for Southern Erie, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Wyoming Counties.

Forecasters say some areas south of Buffalo could see four to seven inches of snow by Monday morning.

The snow bands developed Sunday morning over the immediate Buffalo area where one to three inches of accumulation are expected before the bands move south.

Untreated roadways could become slippery, so drivers are urged to use caution.
