Buffalo, NY – Assemblyman Sam Hoyt is expressing concerns that the City of Buffalo might not be prepared for the influx of visitors connected with the World Junior Hockey Championships.
Tens of thousands of players and fans are expected to attend the tournament. In a letter to the Convention and Visitors Bureau, Hoyt claims that a strategy for informing visitors of local events, restaurants and cultural attractions has not been developed, and leaving tourists, many from foreign countries, without direction would be a black eye for the city.
Both the Sabres, who are hosting the event, and the CVB are assuring that accommodations are being made.
The tournament begins on December twenty-sixth.
