Buffalo, NY – Western New Yorkers have gotten their first taste of winter for the season, and the threat of snow will continue for today.

Though a lake effect snow warning has been lifted for the Buffalo region, Kirk Apffel, from the National Weather Service, claims that the possibility for heavy snow has shifted to the south.

A lake effect snow warning remains in effect for areas in Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties until seven o'clock tonight, where four to six inches of accumulation are possible. The threat of snow should end overnight as some sun is expected to return to the forecast for tomorrow.
