Buffalo, NY – If you have fond memories of "Charlie Chan at the Opera," and "Charlie Chan at the Wax Museum," you'll want to catch Charlie Chan at the Albright Knox Art Gallery. Friday night, author and cultural historian Yunte Huang will be at the gallery at 7:00 P.M. to talk about the iconic and controversial Asian book and movie character.

Huang explores both sides of the literary figure in his book, Charlie Chan: The Untold Story of the Honorable Detective and His Rendezvous with American History. He talked with WBFO's Joyce Kryszak about the love-hate relationship with Chan. Huang said he got hooked on Chan while he was a graduate student in Buffalo.
