Buffalo, NY – State Governor David Paterson is rejecting an offer made by the Seneca Nation to provide casino revenue-sharing payments directly to the communities that host those casinos.
The Senecas are rejecting an obligation to forward those payments to the state for further distribution based on a claim that the state has broken gambling compact agreements. The state is countering that it was the Seneca's that broke the agreement.
Payments are owed for 2009 and 2010.
