Buffalo, NY – Approximately three hundred walkers took part in a benefit for the Amanda Hansen Foundation yesterday.
Hansen was a sixteen year old student at West Seneca West High School when she was killed by carbon monoxide poisoning while slumbering at a friend's house. The walk was sponsored by Hansen's former swim team members from the school. The event helped raise money to pay for carbon monoxide detectors that are given to those who need them.
The Foundation has thus far distributed three thousand detectors.
