New York, NY – Conservative Party candidate Rick Lazio is out of the race for governor. Lazio announced his decision late Monday morning.
This move is expected to help boost the campaign of Buffalo businessman and republican candidate Carl Paladino.
Lazio said he still wants to try to influence the race, which he noted has turned into a name-calling battle between Paladino and Democrat Andrew Cuomo.
Paladino rolled over Lazio in this month's republican primary.
