Buffalo Police search for suspect
Buffalo, NY – Buffalo Police converged on an East Side neighborhood Tuesday afternoon to search for suspect believed to be involved in the deadly shootings at the City Grill.
Police locked down True Bethel Baptist Church on East Ferry as they combed the neighborhood and went door to door.
Pastor Darius Pridgen tells WBFO News police informed them of the situation.
"We were inside the building and got notification from Buffalo Police that were to bring everyone in who was outside. We had children outside playing, and people outside on their breaks and to stay in lock down mode until they could try to make an arrest in the housing projects behind us," said Pridgen.
Police searched the Ferry-Grider public housing complex, streets and cars.
"No one came here. No one turned themselves into me. It just happened to be someone they were looking for in this area," said Pridgen.
Pridgen said they were unofficially told police were searching looking for someone connected to the shooting.
"No one came here. No one turned themselves into me. It just happened to be someone they were looking for in this area," said Pridgen.
