Buffalo, NY – South Buffalo native Patrick Kane created plenty of excitement for the Buffalo Niagara region Friday.

The Chicago Blackhawk hockey star brought the Stanley Cup home for a visit.

Kane started his visit at the Cave of the Winds in Niagara Falls State Park Friday morning.

Later Kane visited pediatric and adult cancer patients at Roswell Park in Buffalo.

Following his Roswell visit, a caravan of vehicles brought Kane and the shiny Cup to a nearby construction site behind Buffalo General Hospital. The Cup was hoisted up several stories so Ironworkers could celebrate Kane's success.

Kane scored the winning goal for Chicago in the Stanley Cup final. Shortly after the win, local Ironworkers wrote "Pat Kane wins Stanley Cup" across a steel girder.

Friday Kane delivered the Cup right beneath the sign where cheering steelworkers in hard hats celebrated and had a chance to the hoist the cup with the hockey star high in the air.

Members of the Buffalo police and fire departments and their families also had a chance to view the Stanley Up during a event at New Era Cap Company in downtown Buffalo.
