Buffalo, NY – Buffalo Schools could be losing nearly forty-two million dollars in federal grants by not replacing personnel at under-performing schools.
Federal guidelines provide the funding if the principals at failing schools are replaced. According to the News, Buffalo School Superintendent James Williams doesn't want to disrupt what he sees as progress at Buffalo's lowest performing schools.
Those schools are Burgard Vocational High School, Riverside Institute of Technology, and International School 45.
Williams claims the federal program does not address all of the concerns involved.
