Niagara Falls, Ontario – There was more than just an earthquake shaking things up across the border Wednesday.
Former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr appeared at the Fallsview Casino in Canada for a sneak preview of his All-Starr Band tour which kicks off Thursday and Friday night at the Fallsview.
Watching Ringo Starr bang out a famous Beatles tune behind a drum set was exciting for new and old fans on hand for his preview.
His latest All-Starr Band features other famous rockers like Edgar Winter, Gary Wright and Wally Palmar, Rick Derringer, Richard Page, and Gregg Bissonette. If you don't recognize their names. You will probably remember their music.
After a brief montage of music, Ringo held a news conference and was asked if he prefers being behind the drums instead of fronting the band. Ringo replied, "If you know anything about me, it was the only instrument I every wanted to play."
Ringo turns 70 on July 7th, but says he still feels like 24.
"We are blessed being musicians, because as far as I'm concerned, as long as I can hold the stick it can go on forever. It's great. It is something you don't have to retire from," said Starr.
Ringo will celebrate his birthday with a "Peace and Love" celebration in New York City. He is encouraging everyone to spread the words of Peace and Love at noon on July 7th.
