Buffalo, NY – Police dogs are on site at Industrial Support, Inc., combing every inch of the facilty before President Barack Obama arrives around 1:45pm.
As of 10am, regular traffic was still being allowed to travel along William Street near the plant on Depot Street. But security has been tightening up in and around the Buffalo manufacturing business.
Dozens of Secret Service, federal and local law enforcement officers are stationed outside and have blocked the entrance to Depot Street.
The media was allowed in only long enough to drop off equipment for the security sweep. They were then directed to a parking lot further down William until the final media check in at 10:30 A.M.
Volunteers and employees are beginning to trickle in for their security check. They walk away when approached by reporters. When asked for their thoughts about the opportunity to see and possibly talk with President Obama, they tell you emphatically they were instructed not to do interviews.
The presidential advance cargo plane was stationed at Buffalo Niagara International Airport Thursday morning. This photo was taken at 6:00am from the airport's passenger terminal.
The Boeing C-17 Air Force cargo plane accompanies the President of the United States on his visits to both domestic and foreign arrangements, consultations, and meetings. The C-17 is used to transport the Presidential Limousine and security detachments.
