Second autopsy sheds new light on youth's death

By Chris Jamele

Buffalo, NY – City forensics examiners ruled that the tragic death of twenty year old Amanda Wienckowski was accidental, but a newly conducted autopsy has revealed signs of struggle and a strong possibility of strangulation in the young girl's death.

Wienckowski's naked body was found in a garbage tote behind an East Side Church last year. The Buffalo News reports that the girl was with a man with a history of strangling sexual partners before she died.

Erie County is refusing to turn over evidence that would allow completion of the new autopsy, a motion that could end up in court.
