Buffalo, NY – The University at Buffalo School of Nursing showcased its new home on the South Campus Tuesday. The school is now located in historic Wende Hall, providing nursing students with a better learning environment.
Classes began at Wende Hall at the beginning of the semester in January, following a $7 million renovation project.
Nursing School Dean Jean Brown says the nursing school's new home features state-of-the-art clinical labs with talking patient mannequins that allow nursing students a chance to experience what it's like to treat a patient before touching an actual human being.
Besides clinical training, Brown says the new home of the nursing school includes a research component to develop the tools future nurses need to care for patients.
