Buffalo, NY – Assemblyman Jack Quinn, III, is expected to announce that he'll challenge William Stachowski for the Senate seat Stachowski has held for nearly 30 years.
Quinn was considering a run for Erie County Court. But he's been a favorite of Republican party leaders in Albany to challenge Stachowski.
The Buffalo News is reporting that the party could commit more than $1 million to Quinn's campaign -- which would make it one of the state's most expensive legislative races.
Quinn is expected to formally announce his candidacy at a fundraising event Thursday night.
