Buffalo, NY – About 25 members of the Flight 3407 families group headed to Washington Tuesday to lobby for an aviation safety bill.

Consideration of the bill is being delayed because of a labor provision that involves Memphis-based Federal Express. The Buffalo News is reporting that Tennessee senator Bob Corker has placed a hold on the bill until he has assurances that the provision is dropped from the final legislation.

Robin Tolsma, whose husband was killed in last year's crash in Clarence, is headed to the Capitol as part of the group. She says the need for such is bill is obvious.

"It's a shame we even have to lobby for this," Tolsma said. "To me it's a no-brainer to get this bill passed."

There is likely to be enough support to pass the bill. But the hold could delay full consideration until next week.
