Amherst, NY – The University at Buffalo and town of Amherst have signed an agreement that puts both on the same page when it comes to development of land adjacent to the North Campus.
Officials say the agreement does not commit either to a specific course of action. But it does call for zoning and planning decisions consistent with the strategic plans of both the university and the town.
UB's comprehensive plan for building and development, called "Building UB," is desgined to promote academic excellence and a united and accessible university campus, while reflecting the university's responsibility to the community.
The memorandum was signed by Town of Amherst Supervisor Barry Weinstein and UB President John Simpson.
