Buffalo, NY – Two New York State lawmakers have established petition drives to counter Governor David Paterson's plan to delay state income tax returns.
The Governor claims the state could use the money before writing checks to taxpayers. Senator Mike Ranzenhofer and Assemblyman Sam Hoyt have both established online petitions urging the Governor to refund taxpayers in a timely fashion.
The State Senate did pass a non-binding resolution this week, hoping to stall the governor's proposal.
