Buffalo, NY – The University at Buffalo community celebrated the life and legacy of UB's 13th president, William Greiner, Tuesday with a memorial service at the Center for the Arts.
The Master of Ceremonies was the University's Vice President of Student Affairs, Dennis Black. Tributes were offered by John Simpson, University at Buffalo president; Thomas Headrick, SUNY Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus; Muriel Howard, president of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities; Steven Sample, president of the University of Southern California and former UB president; D. Bruce Johnstone, University Professor Emeritus; Francis Letro, attorney at law; Judith Albino, professor in UB's School of Dental Medicine and associate dean at the Colorado School of Public Health and Jeremy Jacobs, chairman of the UB Council.
Professor Greiner's children, Terrence, Daniel, Susan and Kevin offered remembrances of their father.
In this half-hour highlight program, musical selections are provided by the Buffalo Chips and Joseph Baschnagel on the bagpipe.
