Another blast of winter in Buffalo

Buffalo, NY – The National Weather Service is revising its weather advisories and warnings. A lake effect snow warning continues through 12noon Friday for southern Erie, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Wyoming Counties. There is now a lake effect snow advisory for Niagara and Orleans Counties through 10am Friday and for northern Erie and Genesee Counties from 9pm Thursday through 10am Friday.

Forecasters say another six to ten inches of snow could fall in areas south of Buffalo. The Buffalo metro region and areas to the north will see four to seven inches, perhaps a bit off near Lake Ontario.

Gusty winds are continuing to cause blowing snow, reducing visibility for drivers. The Skyway is closed. At one point Thursday afternoon, there were four to six accidents on the outbound Skyway. There were some injuries. None appear to be life threatening.
