Buffalo, NY – After more than two months, the Ellicott District of the Buffalo Common Council finally has a new representative. Curtis Haynes, Jr. was appointed to the seat last week. And that's topic one on our Buffalo Rising Roundtable.
Joining WBFO's Mark Scott are Buffalo Rising founder Newell Nussbaumer and editor Elena Cala Buscarino.
Some argue the Council set a bad precedent by ignoring the recommendation of the district's Democratic committee, which supported the Reverend Darius Pridgen for the vacant seat. But Elena said she believes lawmakers acted appropriately.
