Orchard Park, NY – A big change has been announced in the front office for the Buffalo Bills.
Bills owner Ralph Wilson says he has hired Buddy Nix to lead the Bills as the new GM.
Nix has worked as the Bills national scout for the past season. Nix appeared at a news conference Thursday afternoon in Orchard Park at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Nix retired from football in 2008 after serving as assistant GM/director of player personnel for the San Diego Charges. But the 70 year old Nix came out of retirement to work for the Bills this past year.
The Bills are getting ready to end another disappointing season (5-10). They will host Indianapolis this Sunday. Russ Brandon had been handling the GM duties since Marv Levy stepped down as general manager following the 2007 season. Brandon has been promoted to CEO.
