Buffalo, NY – An Amherst woman was killed in a crash on the westbound 90 near Pembroke Saturday morning.
State Police say Julie Stratton, 33, of Snyder died when the vehicle she was driving was struck from behind by a tractor trailer. Troopers say the accident occurred after Stratton's vehicle struck a deer and became disabled in the passing lane.
Stratton was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident closed the westbound Thruway for more than five hours Saturday.
