Buffalo, NY – A new national study continues to point to the dangers posed by second-hand smoke. The study by the Institute of Medicine finds that smoking bans like the one we have in public places here in New York have reduced the number of heart attacks.

Dr. Andrew Hyland of the Roswell Park Cancer Institute contributed to the second hand smoke study. WBFO's Mark Scott reached him at his office at the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus to talk more about this.
