Buffalo, NY – Access to the Buffalo River will soon become much easier.
The New York Power Authority has proposed plans for a better than one acre park that the entity will develop at the intersection of Hamburg and South Streets. The project is part of the Authority's efforts to construct a new storage area for the ice boom.
The Authority has purchased the property and will transfer the parcel to the Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation after the projected completion date of 2011. This project is a commitment connected with the agency's relicensing agreement.
