Buffalo, NY – US Senator Charles Schumer says he wholeheartedly supports President Obama's move to impose tariffs on tires from China. He's like to see more of them.

Schumer says the tariffs are the only way to keep China from rolling over the US. In terms of trade that is. Schumer says China dumps products in the U-S then puts up barriers with U-S exports to China. Schumer says he's glad to see the President standing up to the Chinese.
Senator Kirsten Gillibrand also praised Obama's action. She and Schumer say the previous administration failed to do a full review of the unfair trade policies. Senator Schumer says he's not worried about Obama's action triggering a trade war. Schumer says we can be very tough because China won't cut its nose to spite its face.
