Buffalo, NY – UB's School of Management got another boost from a national ranking. US News and World Reports ranked UB's undergraduate business program as one of the best in the nation.

Students entering UB's undergraduate School of Management have a little more to bank on with their degree. That's according to US News and World Reports. The publication ranked the school at number 57 on its list of the top 158 schools ranked by the publication. Last year UB came in at number 78.
In all, 550 schools were reviewed. The school of management's ranking puts it in the top fifteen percent. Arjang Assad is dean of the School of Management. Assad says that strengthening the undergraduate program was one of his top priorities since becoming dean a year ago.
Assad says keeping the program strong is a challenge with recent budget cuts. But he says they've tried to hold the program and its students harmless by protecting courses. And he says they've emphasized and increased the availability of advising and counseling.
The publication It also ranked UB in the top tier of national universities. And the schools of engineering and sciences also ranked high. The US news and World Reports ranking is one of many favorable ones for UB in recent months. The Wall Street Journal, Business Week and Forbes have all recognized UB.
