Buffalo, NY – A coalition of environmental groups unveiled its action plan Thursday for preserving and restoring the region's natural environment.
The Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo is behind the creation of the Western new York Environmental Alliance. Our region is often considered the birthplace of the environmental justice movement due largely to the activism spawned by Love Canal 30 years ago. Stakeholders have been meeting since October 2008 to map out a strategy.
Clotilde Perez-Bode Dedecker is president of the Community Foundation. She joined WBFO's Mark Scott on the phone from her office downtown. Click the audio player above to hear the interview now or use your podcasting software to download it to your computer or iPod.
