Wilson, NY – Two Wilson High School students were acquitted Thursday of the hazing charges lodged against them following a controversial incident aboard a school bus in April 2008.

Wilson Town Justice George Berger did not offer an explanation of his verdict. Chris Sidoti, Jr., was one of the students who was found not guilty. He said a great weight has been lifted.

Thursday's acquittal came just days after prosecutors dropped child endangerment charges against two Wilson High School coaches who were on board the bus.

However, attorneys representing the students who claimed they were abused are planning civil actions against the Wilson School District.
