Buffalo, NY – Mayor Byron Brown has received the endorsement of the Independence Party.
Brown is seeking support in his bid for a second term in office. Erie County Independence Party Chair Sandra Geist Rosenwie announced her party's preference yesterday. The party endorsed Brown in 2005 and supported this year's decision, claiming that Brown has an outline for improving Buffalo and for guiding the city toward future growth.
The mayor has already received the support of the Working Families and the Conservative Parties.
Brown is being challenged in the Democratic Primary by Councilmember Mickey Kearns.
