Lockport, NY – General Motors wants to buy five Delphi plants as part of its restructuring effort. That would include the Delphi Thermal Systems in Lockport.
Western New York Congressman Chris Lee toured the local facility Wednedsay. Lee says talks are still underway between GM and Delphi. Lee meet with management and union leaders to discuss important issues Delphi faces. Lee says a major concern is the future of pensions.
Delphi was spun off by GM ten years ago.
Those locally connected to the plant are voicing their concerns. The Niagara County facility employs 2,100 workers
