Daemen College Film Screening

Buffalo, NY – The Cambodian Holocaust will be the topic of Monday night's film series at Daemen College in Amherst. The documentary "Out of the Poison Tree" will be featured.

Thida Mam -- now an American citizen -- has been living in San Jose since 1980 after leaving behind Cambodia. But she still returns for visits. Mam says the film "Out of the Poison Tree" features her story of her father's mysterious disappearance in 1975 murdered during the Khmer Rouge regime.

The film begins at 7:30pm at the Wick Center at Daemen. It's free and open to the public. There will be post-film discussion led by Academic Vice President Dr. Edwin Clause.
