Clarence, NY – This weekend will mark two months since Flight 3407 crashed into house in Clarence Center killing 50 people.
New York State Police officials were in Clarence Thursday morning to thank the firefighters, local officials and the community for responding to the crash scene and providing support. The ceremony was held at Clarence Town Hall.Major Christopher Cummings is the Troop A Commander.
"What we are learning is tragedies are occurring at a frequent rate around the Country and around the world. What we learned on February 12th is the town of Clarence is not immune to such a tragedy," said Cummings.
Troopers presented plaques during Thursday's ceremony. Major Cummings thanked those involved for going above and beyond the call of duty.
