Niagara Falls, NY – Repairs crews in Niagara Falls continue work on a major water main break that is disrupting life for families living within a two block range of 56th Street.
A 20-inch main ruptured around 9:30 Monday night, sending waters into streets and the basements of nearby homes. Some residents were evacuated.
Niagara Falls Mayor Paul Dyster says the broken main is more than 60 years old.
For now, city officials are asking all Niagara Falls residents to avoid using water until the situation improves.
