Buffalo, NY – The Catholic Diocese of Buffalo is closing another school. Saints Columba-Brigid Montessori School will close at the end the school year in June.
The diocese says it could not afford the increased subsidy needed to keep the school open. WBFO News caught up with the leader of the Catholic Diocese friday afternoon for his reaction. Bishop Edward Kmeic says it was a fiscal decision.
Sixty-five students in grades Pre-K through first attend the school.
